Research Interest:

Research goals are to understand the interplay of simple molecular systems with pressure using primarily diamond anvil cells, from induced structural changes of pure the species to the reactivity between them and other elemental systems. Environmental conditions of these systems are further tuned via cryostat/resistive heating technologies and characterized by diagnostics such as Raman spectroscopy or advanced synchrotron sources. The outcomes of this research agenda will be applicable to a more profound understanding of planetary interiors as well as producing next-generation materials.
